Halloween Costume Photo Shoots!

Tue Oct 6, 2009, 7:06 PM
Halloween is just a few short weeks away and coming up fast!
Some of you already have your costumes/outfits ready, are close to being finished with the last touches, OR some who have nothing ready yet.

For the groups that are ready or almost ready, I'm "opening up the floor", so to speak, to anyone who wants some good photos of them in their costume.. alone or with friends. Do you really want another Halloween costume you spent time and money on to be taken by your cell phone only to have it turn out slightly blurry with little or just bad lighting from the party you're at only for it to turn out to be the size of a thumbnail to show off to your friends?
I didn't think so!

Keep in mind, if you do decide, you will need to sign a standard model release form so I may use the photos to attract more people to work with. You may end up on my website as well!

Since I'm busy during the week, weekends are the only time available. The dates I currently have open are:

October 17 - October 18
October 24 - October 25
October 31 - November 1

Send me a deviantART/MySpace/Facebook message, email (reurbo2@gmail.com), or text (682.560.6825) if you're interested and be specific as to what day and time you're free as I'd like to get at least 4-5 photo shoots per weekend.

FOLLOW THROUGH!
Please don't make plans to do a shoot if you know you can't make it or really don't want to do it. Just be honest as to what your thinking when you contact me.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you!

NOTE: Please allow anywhere between 1-3 hours for the photo shoot duration depending on how long it takes for you to change into your costume, fix hair and makeup, and of course relax and have fun with this! : )
Photo editing will be done either later the day of the shoot or within 2 days afterward by me on the pictures I decide turned out the best . At that time, they will be emailed to you along with a copy of your signed model release form. No pictures will be given at the end of the photo shoot.

my deviation rules

Tue Feb 24, 2009, 6:42 PM
This is my official stand on people asking about using my uploads as stock or "the rights" to my work.

The ONLY uploads that can be used as stock from my gallery are the deviations that have "STOCK" at the beginning of the deviation title.
In addition, if you do use any of my stock images you must provide 3 things:
1) a comment on the original stock with a link to what you've made
2) credit to me for using my stock somewhere in the description of your work
3) include a link in the description back to my original stock submission

Also, any poems or songs I write, I am not interested in giving them away or selling them for any upcoming musician.

Thank you & i look forward to seeing what you come up with.

/Brad

a new... with some suggestions

Wed May 7, 2008, 8:47 PM
NEW TOY FOR ME!!!

...CAMERA! GO ME!!

ok, so far, any pictures i've taken that have been submitted here have been made with either a Kodak disposable camera (only one or two pictures) or my p&s Canon PowerShot A570 IS.

i've always wanted something a little more professional, just without the price tag. LOL

so i found a great Intermediate DSLR that suites my needs (at least the next few years), has all the features i was looking for, and best of all, fit my budget for what i was willing to pay.

i got a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi w/ an 18-55mm lens and, of course, a padded carrying case.

now i know i'll be needing to get at least one more lens, but it'll have to wait for a little while.

what lenses would you suggest to go with this?

many images, one picture

Mon Nov 5, 2007, 9:26 PM
ok, i'm trying to find out what it's called when you take dozens (hundreds) of pictures/images of random things and add them together to create a new and totally different picture.
no, it's not something as simple as PSing a picture with several hundreds of pictures/images (although it might be possible, it'd take several hours, even days, to take hundreds of images and arrange them per..... just, no).

any help from any one on this?

example:
you see a picture of a single yellow flower, with green grass growing around it, and a light blue sky. what you don't see, at least consciously (or at first glance), is the hundreds, thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of pictures that make up the "original" picture you are seeing, but because your conscious mind is just seeing the picture of the flower, the subconscious part of the brain is literally soaking up and storing every single one of those images that you unknowingly looked at.

if any of you have seen the movie "Paycheck", what i'm talking about would be like the stamp on the envelope that had the front page of several newspapers in the eyes.

if you ever saw the movie Serenity, if you remember the part where everyone was at a bar trying to find "jobs" and leads for their next payment, River came in a saw an advertisement on one of the tvs then goes nuts and starts kickin ass.
that's kind of the same thing, but using video instead of a picture.
now, i'm not talking about doing something that small, but it's still the basic idea of what i'm wanting.

thanks
